Some foods and drinks which contain preservatives include bread, cheese, margarine, wine, processed meats, fruit juice, dried fruit, soft drinks and more. But because their shelf life is low, they have steered away from them. But now the food industries have started using adult prints, which can range from choc powder, sawdust, non permitted dyes to coal tar. Companies have also started using synthetic food coloring such as red 40, blue one and yellow five, even though they are aware that they have been proven to cause long term health problems. Some other examples of the most common adulterated foods include vanilla extract, maple syrup, grape wine, apple juice, coffee, orange juice, saffron and more. As discussed earlier, we do not have the ability to store our vegetables and fruits for long periods of time. So when they are harvested, they are treated with the greening ripening agents such as calcium carbide and ethylene. Calcium carbide can be hazardous to our bodies. This is because calcium carbide is known to contain traces of phosphorus and arsenic. Studies state that eating fruits which have been artificially ripened can be harmful. We unknowingly consume these foods without knowing that we are reducing our life expectancy. So now that you know the dangers of the so-called healthy foods, we are consuming. You might be asking yourself; how did we get to this point? Well, it’s simple. Mankind demands instant service anywhere he or she goes, whether it’s a coffee or a hamburger. Fast and consistent service is required. So, the food industry needed to find a way to service this demand in order to do that.
They needed to find ways to prolong the life of the products they were storing. If you live a healthy lifestyle, exercise regularly and do not smoke or drink, you may think that you are less likely to be at risk for certain types of cancer.
